Doji Tanako

Doji Tanako, Champion of the Crane:

Younger daughter of the last Crane Champion, Tanako is one of the best duelists of her generation and an inspiring figure for the future of the Crane.

The other Crane family daimyo selected her to be the champion instead of her older brother, who serves as the Doji daimyo, due to her proven ability on the battlefield and the greater need for the Crane to have the best warrior available to defend the clan (in the absence of Imperial authority to rely upon).

However, any who think she will be just a figurehead will find themselves sorely mistaken – the Snow Crane brings the precision of her clan to any conflict in which she must defend her people.
