Childhood

Taiyofu is the son of Yoritomo Hasu, a man who died young, and a Moshi Priestess. By Taiyofu’s 5th winter his father had died on the field of battle. As a young child Taiyofu idealized his father and used that to push himself to excel. He lacked the talent to converse with the kami but showed exceptional agility and intelligence at a young age.

Sons of Kaimetsu-Uo

At the age of 13 he had mastered many of the forms taught at the Goraiku Dojo and passed his Gempuku at 14. His mother had taught him a healthy respect for the Fortunes and his father had been a member of the Son’s of Kaimetsu-Uo so the small samurai went and studied with the brothers of Kaimetsu-Uo alongside the sons until he won a position there as well.

War

One of Taiyofu’s interests has been large scale warfare. He has read both leadership and the book of Sun-Tao, internalizing much of these works. He has also taken to his readings of the Tao sees ways to discuss the elements and their representation in Armies. Much of it is theory at this time, but he has met a group of ronin who share such an interest. He exchanges letters with their leader.
