Shinjo Maiko, Champion of the Unicorn:

Maiko has spent the last several years wandering the Empire, traveling from court to court and battle to battle in an effort to learn the ways of Rokugan.

She is absolutely certain that the Unicorn have a place in the Empire, and that they can serve without having to change who they are, and is eager to demonstrate it – even if she has had to give up some of her own freedom to ensure her people’s future.
