Description

Yogo Onkei is a somewhat rough and tumble man of average Rokugani physique. He wears a fierce demon mempo that accentuates the threat that always seems to be lay just behind his eyes. He carries a full daisho as well as the symbol of his position, a jitte, displayed prominently on his obi.

Background

An experienced clan yoriki with experience serving in the somewhat troubled Hizoku province border with the unaligned lands to the south, Yogo Onkei has recently been promoted to apprentice clan magistrate with a small territory of his own within the lands surrounding Zakyo Toshi. Due to the proximity that his work has with the Hare clan, Onkei has been working with the magistrates of that clan to stamp out the smuggling trade along the River of Gold with mixed success. His most recent assignment has been assisting Usagi Kiritabi with a particularly dug-in group of smugglers with ties in Yasuki Yashiki. The exact manner of ties haven't been made completely clear to Onkei, but Kiritabi seems to be quite determined to get to the bottom of the issue.

Status of his Yogo Curse

It is believed by his clan that Yogo Onkei has discharged his curse in a particularly nasty incident involving farming implements, a peasent, and his older brother. Only Onkei survived this incident.
